Description
More commonly known as Pope's coin or shield grass, lunaria is a plant native to south-eastern Europe. It can be found on roadsides, waste ground and cultivated land, as it tends to escape from the gardens in which it is grown. However, even though it can be found in gardens, it is most famous as an interior decorator for its highly decorative fruits: flat, rounded siliques, 3 to 5 cm wide, which show through their seeds. When the two side membranes fall off, only a thin, pearly disc remains. This is the same disc that has made the Pope's coin famous, particularly in the composition of dried flower bouquets. These thin, transparent discs give it its main name of lunar ("lunaria"). These fruits can also be reminiscent of coins, which is why it is also known as 'Pope's coin' or 'shield grass'. These discs make the lunaria a unique and very original plant. It almost looks like a small dream catcher on a thin, delicate branch. The delicacy of these flowers makes them a great asset for adding elegance and softness to very colourful bouquets, and they can be used alone in a vase or combined in small touches on a picture or plant wall. Its graceful curves and its beautiful stem, similar to a tree branch in winter, will bring a purity, calm and serenity to your compositions that will make a space warm while remaining a decoration of taste and exception.you can also mix with stabilised flowers or stabilised foliage.

General recommendations
Dried flowers require minimal maintenance. Phocealys advises you :
- Do not expose your dried flowers directly to the sun, as direct exposure could damage the colour of your bouquets
- To remove dust from your dried bouquets, wipe them lightly with a cloth to avoid damaging them. You can also use a hairdryer, as long as the air is cold and you do not blow too close to the bouquet
