Phocealys fire-retardant spray for stabilized moss and lichen – Euroklasse B-s1, d0

The Phocealys fire-retardant spray is specially designed to protect your stabilized mosses such as ball moss, flat moss, Provence moss, sphagnum moss, rock moss, as well as Lichen / Reinder moss. Invisible after application, non-toxic, and easy to use, it ensures optimal fire safety, particularly in public-access buildings.

Instructions for use

  • Ensure the surface is raw, untreated, clean, and dry.
  • Shake the bottle before use, then spray onto the surface to be treated. Use in a ventilated environment with gloves, mask, and goggles.

To determine the required volume for fireproofing your creation, first estimate the surface area of stabilized moss to be treated. Then multiply this area by the coefficient 0.16 (1 liter of product treats approximately 6 m²). Example: for 0.5 m² → 0.5 × 0.16 = 0.08 L required.

The result corresponds to the number of liters required to ensure effective protection. Strict compliance with this guideline is essential to guarantee the official M1 classification.

Characteristics

This product complies with the French M1 standard, meaning it is classified as “non-flammable” according to fire reaction regulations (NF P92-507). This standard is recognized as one of the most demanding in the world.

In Europe, it is generally accepted that the M1 classification has an equivalent within the European rating system corresponding to Euroclass B-s1, d0. However, Phocealys would like to draw your attention to the fact that this equivalence is not official. As is often the case with standards, interpretation depends on the relevant safety commission. For all your projects, it is essential to obtain prior approval from the safety commission responsible for fire safety regulations before installing your vegetal creation.

General recommendations

Phocealys recommends:

  • Read the instructions carefully before use.
  • Never mix with water.
  • Storage temperature: minimum 15°C.
  • Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C / 122°F.
  • Shake well before each use.
  • Protect from frost.
  • Pressurized container: may burst if heated.
  • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and all other sources of ignition.
  • Use only in a well-ventilated area.
  • Protect from sunlight.
  • Do not use for any purpose other than that intended.
  • Shelf life: 24 months in its original sealed packaging.
