This Phocealys fire-retardant spray is designed to protect dried flowers, raw wood and its derivatives against ignition. Invisible after application, colorless, odorless, non-toxic and easy to use, it helps enhance the fire safety of your decorative creations, especially in public-access buildings.

In Europe, it is generally accepted that the M1 classification has an equivalent within the European rating system corresponding to Euroclass B-s1, d0. However, Phocealys would like to draw your attention to the fact that this equivalence is not official. As is often the case with standards, interpretation depends on the relevant safety commission. For all your projects, it is essential to obtain prior approval from the safety commission responsible for fire safety regulations before installing your vegetal creation.

Instructions for use

The surface must be raw, untreated, clean and dry. Shake the bottle before use, then spray in a ventilated area while wearing gloves, a mask and protective goggles.

• Calculate the required volume by multiplying the surface area by 0.16.
• Example: for 0.5 m², plan 0.5 × 0.16 = 0.08 L, i.e. 80 ml.
• Strictly follow the dosage to ensure M1 classification.
• Allow drying between 12 and 72 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
• A slight glossy layer may appear after application.

The Phocealys fire-retardant spray helps limit the spread of flames for materials composed of plant fibres such as dried flowers. It comes as a colorless, odorless and non-toxic liquid, packaged in spray bottles. This product complies with the French M1 standard, meaning it is classified as “non-flammable” according to fire reaction regulations (NF P92-507). The laboratory test report indicates that the product was tested on wood fibres, as testing on dried flowers is not possible. Since dried flowers are composed of wood fibres, this product is effective on such materials. For reasons of efficiency and compliance, it is strongly recommended to obtain validation from the safety commission prior to your project.
