Description

The dendrobium orchid is a modern flower. It is sophisticated, refined and meticulous, serving as an ornament for a sober interior. At Phocealys, it is sold stabilised without its stem, just for the detail. The orchid consists of several large or thinner petals forming a delicate crown. The heart of the flower is located at the junction of the petals, like a present that the flower is preparing to give. The orchid family is one of the largest and most advanced in the plant kingdom. There are actually orchids of all sizes and colours. The dendrobium is smaller and more delicate than the phalaenopsis orchid, which is also in our catalogue. It is fragile and measures on average between 4 and 6 cm in diameter and about 3 cm in length. However, it is stabilised with such care that, even if the flower is very thin, it remains intact. This makes it one of the most stunning flowers in the Phocealys range of stabilised flowers. The dendrobium orchid is available in a wide range of colours. White, light blue, fuchsia, yellow, pink or orange, the choice is vast and pleasing. Being stemless, it will be at home on a wall or in a picture. Its range of colours allows it to be highlighted in a sober and original way. The flower will look good on a stabilised wall, for example. Because of its small size, it is better not to isolate it, as it may go unnoticed. It is therefore highly recommended to place them in trio or to spread them out like buttercups. You can also combine it with a composition consisting of larger, stabilised flowers. For example, with its sister orchid, the phalaenopsis. The Japanese origin of this orchid has given it its class and modernity. It can now shine in a sober way with a partner. It will be perfect for a living room or bedroom decoration, or to give elegance to a wedding table. In a more original way, it could be used to embellish a woman's hairstyle for a distinguished event.

General recommendations

Stabilised plants are 100% natural. They can only be exposed inside. They require no maintenance, no watering and no special light. They keep their freshness and flexibility for several years. A few tips to keep your stabilised plants looking fresh:

  • Handle the plants with care and delicacy (natural plants are therefore fragile).
  • Avoid rooms with a relative humidity of over 80%. Use these products in interiors where the temperature is not lower than 10°C.
  • Avoid sudden fluctuations in temperature.
  • Avoid placing stabilised plants directly in front of air conditioning.
