Description

The Cymbidium orchid is a modern flower. Both complex, refined, and meticulous, it serves as a true adornment for a minimalist interior. At Phocealys, it is offered in a stabilized version, crafted with great attention to detail, and presented without its stem. The orchid is composed of several broad or slender petals forming a delicate corolla. At their junction lies the heart of the flower, like a gift about to be revealed. The orchid family is one of the largest and most evolved in the plant kingdom, and as such, exists in all shapes, sizes, and colors. The Cymbidium is smaller and more delicate than the Phalaenopsis orchid, also featured in our catalog. Though fragile, with an average diameter of just 6 cm, its stabilization is carried out with such precision that the flower remains perfectly intact despite its fineness. This makes it one of the most striking stabilized flowers in the Phocealys collection. We offer the Cymbidium orchid in a wide range of colors for beautiful assortments — white, yellow, pink, and more. Without a stem, it is particularly suited for wall-mounted or framed plant designs. Its color palette allows it to be highlighted in both subtle and creative ways. A stabilized wall, for example, becomes an ideal backdrop. Due to its small size, we recommend avoiding isolating the flower, as it may go unnoticed. Instead, it is best displayed in groups of three or scattered throughout a composition like golden buttercups. The Cymbidium also pairs harmoniously with larger stabilized flowers — such as its sister, the Phalaenopsis orchid. With its Japanese origin, the Cymbidium carries an air of elegance and modernity. It can shine discreetly on its own or accompanied, making it perfect for decorating a living room, a bedroom, or adding sophistication to a wedding table. In a more original use, it can even be incorporated into a refined hairstyle for a distinguished event.

General recommendations

Stabilised plants are 100% natural. They can only be exposed inside. They require no maintenance, no watering and no special light. They keep their freshness and flexibility for several years. A few tips to keep your stabilised plants looking fresh:

  • Handle the plants with care and delicacy (natural plants are therefore fragile).
  • Avoid rooms with a relative humidity of over 80%. Use these products in interiors where the temperature is not lower than 10°C.
  • Avoid sudden fluctuations in temperature.
  • Avoid placing stabilised plants directly in front of air conditioning.
