Description
Anti-UV Treated Preserved Rumohra Fern – A natural plant designed for very bright interiors
Bring a long-lasting touch of nature to your projects with our Anti-UV Treated Preserved Rumohra Fern. Selected for the delicacy of its foliage and the quality of its preservation, it offers a particularly natural, dense and graphic appearance. Its specific Anti-UV treatment is a real advantage for projects installed in environments receiving high levels of light.
Graphic foliage for high-end botanical creations
Thanks to its flexible and generous foliage, this fern is ideal for creating preserved green walls, botanical frames, planted decorative installations, shop windows, hotel lobbies, commercial spaces and high-end interior projects requiring a long-lasting natural plant.
Its finely cut foliage instantly brings volume, texture, depth and graphic character to botanical arrangements. Its light silhouette structures creations without weighing them down, while enhancing their relief and natural appearance.
Easy to integrate and work with, the Anti-UV Preserved Rumohra Fern can be used alone or combined with other preserved foliage to create botanical compositions rich in texture and volume.
Anti-UV treatment for improved resistance to light
Unlike a standard preserved fern, this version benefits from a specific treatment designed to improve its resistance to light.
The fern undergoes the same colouring and preservation process as our standard products, followed by an additional coating designed to improve colour retention under high levels of light exposure.
It is therefore particularly suitable for installations located near a shop window, beneath a glass roof, in a hotel lobby, restaurant, retail space, showroom or any other indoor area receiving significant natural light.
This treatment helps to slow down the gradual discolouration of the foliage and preserve its green colour for longer, making it particularly suitable for professional projects exposed to demanding lighting conditions.
Light resistance tested for one year
To evaluate the performance of this treatment, a one-year light resistance test was carried out at an exposure level of 18,000 lux, including UV rays.
These test conditions simulate a product being displayed indoors in a sunny position near a window for more than 5 years.
At the end of the test, the green colour of the foliage was largely preserved, demonstrating the good performance of the Rumohra fern under significant light exposure.
For comparison, typical lighting levels are approximately:
- 500 to 750 lux in offices;
- 1,000 to 3,000 lux in commercial spaces with spot lighting;
- 18,000 lux under the exposure conditions used for the light resistance test.
This test provides a valuable performance indicator for professionals wishing to incorporate preserved plants into particularly bright indoor spaces.
Estimated durability of approximately 5 years behind glass
Based on the results obtained during the 18,000-lux exposure test, the product is estimated to last approximately 5 years when displayed indoors behind glass.
However, this period is an estimate based on the test conditions and does not constitute a guarantee of lifespan. Preservation may vary depending on the environment, particularly according to the intensity and duration of light exposure, temperature and, above all, humidity levels.
Like all preserved plants, the Rumohra fern remains sensitive to humidity. Unsuitable indoor conditions may therefore significantly reduce its lifespan.
An ideal solution for high-end botanical projects
With its finely cut foliage and naturally graphic silhouette, the Anti-UV Preserved Rumohra Fern works equally well in contemporary botanical creations and in natural or tropical settings.
Its improved resistance to light makes it particularly suitable for decorators, interior designers, fit-out professionals, set designers and botanical decoration specialists looking to introduce natural greenery into brightly lit spaces.
Green walls, shop windows, hotel lobbies, restaurants, boutiques, offices, showrooms or spaces beneath glass roofs: Rumohra fern makes it possible to create long-lasting, voluminous and graphic botanical settings without the maintenance requirements of living plants.
Recommendations for use
Although its Anti-UV treatment significantly improves its resistance to light, Rumohra fern remains a genuine natural preserved plant. The treatment therefore does not make it completely resistant to the effects of UV rays, heat or humidity.
To preserve its appearance for as long as possible, indoor use is recommended. Contact with water and environments with excessively high humidity levels should also be avoided.
The actual lifespan depends directly on the installation conditions. The estimated lifespan of approximately 5 years behind glass is based on the results of the one-year test at 18,000 lux, including UV rays, and should be regarded as a performance indication rather than a guarantee of lifespan.

General recommendations
Stabilised plants are 100% natural. They can only be exposed inside. They require no maintenance, no watering and no special light. They keep their freshness and flexibility for several years. A few tips to keep your stabilised plants looking fresh:
- Handle the plants with care and delicacy (natural plants are therefore fragile).
- Avoid rooms with a relative humidity of over 80%. Use these products in interiors where the temperature is not lower than 10°C.
- Avoid sudden fluctuations in temperature.
- Avoid placing stabilised plants directly in front of air conditioning.
