Description

You may know the immortelle as St. John's flower, Italian helichrysum or curry flower. This pretty yellow flower, which is found around the Mediterranean region, is a flower with a thousand qualities. It has antioxidant, analgesic and antibacterial benefits. It is often used as an ingredient in certain cosmetics and soaps. Its name, immortelle, reflects the fact that it is a dried flower, capable of lasting indefinitely. Immortelle is a sweet element that brings colour and brightness to a bouquet of dried and stabilised flowers. Alone in a vase, a bouquet of immortelle is a great source of light in an interior. The same bouquet can also be combined with other dried and preserved flowers and leaves. In combination with dry barley, dry thistles or dry limonium, the sweetness of immortelle is highlighted and the mix with the brutalism of the other species gives a charismatic, charming and sophisticated result. Immortelle also works well with other dried flowers such as hill flowerglixia and marguerite to create a graceful and elegant arrangement. In interior decoration, but also in special events such as weddings, christenings or baby showers, immortals can be integrated into table decorations, flower arches or in bouquets. Our immortals are 100% Mediterranean, imported directly from the Var region in the south of France. You will find several colours from the natural colour to bright yellow, bicoloured immortals with yellow petals and a brown pistil, as well as white/cream immortals.

General recommendations

Dried flowers require minimal maintenance. Phocealys advises you :

  • Do not expose your dried flowers directly to the sun, as direct exposure could damage the colour of your bouquets
  • To remove dust from your dried bouquets, wipe them lightly with a cloth to avoid damaging them. You can also use a hairdryer, as long as the air is cold and you do not blow too close to the bouquet

If you follow these tips, your dried flowers will last almost forever!
