Description

Physalis, also known as Chinese lanterns or love in a cage, offer a touch of exoticism and vibrant color to any floral arrangement or interior decoration. These small berries, wrapped in their translucent, paper-like calyx, captivate the eye and evoke the fragile beauty of nature. Originating from South America but now cultivated in many regions of the world, physalis are appreciated for their unique decorative aspect. Stabilization allows for the preservation of the beauty and delicate texture of physalis for long periods, without the need for light, water, or special care. Ideal for floral compositions, bouquets, or other plant creations, stabilized physalis can harmoniously complement various decorative styles, from the most traditional to the most modern. To create an atmosphere that is both minimalist and exotic, physalis can be combined with mitsumata branches or ming fern. They also pair well with dried bear grass to cultivate a zen ambiance. Other possible pairings include delicate varieties such as cinnamon fern, craspedia, or stabilized scabiosa, dried thistle, or even preserved broom. Offering a palette of pastel colors and an intriguing shape, stabilized physalis wonderfully lend themselves to the creation of welcoming and nature-inspired atmospheres. Their presence in a space can add a touch of serenity, making them a favored choice for interior designers, event decorators, and anyone looking to incorporate a natural and artistic element into their projects.

General recommendations

Stabilised plants are 100% natural. They can only be exposed inside. They require no maintenance, no watering and no special light. They keep their freshness and flexibility for several years. A few tips to keep your stabilised plants looking fresh:

  • Handle the plants with care and delicacy (natural plants are therefore fragile).
  • Avoid rooms with a relative humidity of over 80%. Use these products in interiors where the temperature is not lower than 10°C.
  • Avoid sudden fluctuations in temperature.
  • Avoid placing stabilised plants directly in front of air conditioning.
